Looks like after the beautiful week last week we settle into a muggy stormy pattern.  The gfs looks like an unsettled pattern with even some severe lines of storms possibly forming and blowing through here over the next week or so. The gfs has been tons better recently at recognizing the upcoming pattern.

Fished the Davidson River yesterday, that have a nice setup there. Easily accessible, great fishing. It was pretty crowded but still enjoyable. Water there was lower than McDowell, I feel like they have had less rain than us.

Was on Jocassee yesterday and hardly a drop fell on us.  Sun actually peaked out as we were paddling back to the boat landing.  Caution: Don’t go chasing waterfalls just because of the pretty lady you are with, you’ll bust your bust multiple times after warning her about the slick rocks :arrowhead:

Driving down 40 between Asheville and Old Fort this afternoon was not fun. Ran into quite a bit of pea to dime size hail and strong winds with zero visibility coming down the hill.

Saw several cars that had hydroplaned coming through a downpour in Asheville too.

Kind of a repeat today.  No hail thankfully but it was just a wall of water leaving Ashville early this afternoon.
