Buckethead
I caught the eclipse with my phone at the AVL airport. I'm hoping Tyler had clear skies...he had enough gear with him in the POT to start his own obsevatory!Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

Tyler Penland
I rented a telephoto lens and dealt with some serious light rings/abberation which sucked. Still managed some solid pics out of it and it was an absolutely amazing experience. So much better than 2017 if nothing else due to the length. At 4m 8s of totality I really had time to enjoy it.These were all taken from Herrin, Illinois. I hope to have a time lapse video together soon as well.
Rainforrest
These tropical downpours are beating the roof in. The wind is also really picking up.

We missed last night's rain to the south I believe because of convention feedback from the gulf yesterday.
Met1985
Looks like the highest elevations across the border could see some flakes on the backside of the cold front coming through.

Buckethead
Yes it is! I'm an okay swimmer. Really, I only got in deeper than chest deep by accident. My foot slipped just above some rapids and I went for a ride for a few hundred feet. Lesson learned. And I was on the Cane. The bite was on today, btw. Tyler Penland
3.5" since midnight so far. Local streams were rocking when I got off work. Had some straight up mini tropical depressions rolling through this afternoon. Definitely not helping the 105 mess they're trying to clean up.

WxKnurd
Wind ripped all night, had to break some limbs this morning on the way to work to get around a tree that had fell on the road down the mountain. Had some sleet pellets and flakes mix-in in a passing shower this morning around 6:30.
