This truly has been a pretty remarkable stretch of weather, especially in regards to the temperatures. No extended periods of extreme heat this summer. Parts of the Carolinas are having one of their top 5 coolest starts to a September on record. It's been pretty rare to be able to say "coolest" anything in recent years.

Yeah I'd say this summer was long. It started early but we had our cool downs and it seems like every time we start into a drought mother nature bails us out like currently. Yeah the start to September has been remarkable.  I don't expect to see the 70s until maybe tomorrow. That will make 6 days in a row of not touching 70 plus and having lows in the 50s every morning.  Remarkable and refreshing.

I know we are in a bit of a drought but this would cause extensive flooding across the region. Entertainment purposes only!qpf_acc-imp.us_ma.jpg

If many of the tracks are correct, this would also be a major blow to leaf season.
