WxUSAF
Windiest day of the year on recycling day = a neighborhood full of blowing trash. Particular shout out to the neighbor who had a huge pile of shredded paper loose in their now tipped over recycling bin. 1

It can wait a week to be put out. Also, wind is dumb.

Wind, it is an ever present potential. Wind, destroyer of limbs, feller of power lines. Wind, which led me to eight EIGHT power outages in 2023 alone. Wind, my new enemy, we meet again.
North Balti Zen
One of those days where the building is shaking from the wind hitting it. Or feels like it is. I mean, I am 20 floors up so it's probably not literally shaking but...still. In any event, windy.
stormy
I lost power for 4.5 hrs. yesterday afternoon when a large oak tree fell across power lines in 45-50 mph winds.

katabatic
We had some intense squalls yesterday, but the warm ground caused a lot of it to melt in between snow showers prior to dusk. I am estimating 3" on the ground this morning. And like the rest of us, the wind was relentless.
Eskimo Joe
That was a legit flizzard last night. Woke up to a light dusting on the deck. Officially recorded as a Trace in my Co-Op obs this morning. Our Frostburg mesonet site appears to have recorded a 1/2" measurement overnight, which now looks to have melted.

wxdude64
A chilly start at 27.6 degrees here, least the wind is only blowing at 2 mph from WSW. Had a 37 mph gust around noon yesterday, then slowly they died back during afternoon to a more reasonable 10-25 range. I don't keep wind 'records', (I only report/record when winds go above 25 mph, I feel that is a threshold that most people start feeling uncomfortable with), but I have to question "the least windiest winter" thing.
