09-10 analogy
Yep was not expecting thunder with these lower temps. Not just this low rolling stuff, but a legit timpani. There's some decent lightning with this cell, too. And a downpour that wouldn't be out of place in August. EDIT: Just saw the p n' c from Sterling mentions "small hail."
North Balti Zen
Yeah, thunder during the walk just now with the dogs on the ncr trail. If we were low on the day for rainfall here a few hours back, we are not now.

Looks like tomorrow will be a different story w/a 'reasonable worst case' 10 inches. At least I don't have to fly to Reno to get it lol. I hear @ravensrule would fly to Thailand to get it. But that’s just a rumor. He probably does just fine locally.

shoshanaz
Still a passing shower and wind gusts. And caught this for a few minutes this morning. We seldom see morning rainbows. This was just before 8 am

The seasonal wetland is expansive and knee deep in places. Just put some larvicide in, 2 weeks earlier than normal. Last year at this time the water table in that area was still below the surface.
CAPE
After some morning sun and calm, clouds rolled in quickly and the wind just picked up dramatically. Moderate shower now.
katabatic
In deeply meteorological terms, a solid dusting so far. For a change, plenty cold at 27.3 with a stiff WNW breeze. Very light snow at the moment; looking forward to some heavier stuff as the day progresses.

MillvilleWx
I’ll add we had 1.67” of rain yesterday at our place. We missed most of it traveling back from Myrtle Beach, but we got clobbered once we got to the Capital Beltway with those elevated thunderstorms that rolled through. It was dumping rain
