Evidently seeing more multicellular clustering on radar like the low BRN shear values on the late afternoon DVN & ILX soundings were indicating (rather than truly discrete supercells). I’m sure this will have a somewhat negative impact on tornado production in the risk area unless things get more discrete.

I’ve seen that a handful of times before on lightning data or radar over the years. It probably is a “false” lightning strike. But what it likely really means is that the atmosphere is electrically charged (favorable for lightning production) in that area when you see that and nothing on precip radar.
