Terpeast
Think the cap is about to break. Just looked out the window and the clouds have that look. Also a bigger cumulonimbus budding way out to my north.

If that isn't enough for storms I don’t know what is. 19 minutes ago, Eskimo Joe said: Classic day of decent lightning and probably some real nice downpours. Yeah, honestly shocked it cleared out as much as it did. It's 98 right now. And I'm waiting (with somewhat bated breath) for the wx radio's klaxon to fire off any minute signaling a STW. Terpeast
Cell approaching me fizzled. Which is fine, keep the heating going to further stretch the rubber band until it snaps. Hard. This heat and muggy air isn’t going away quietly.

NorthArlington101
Not sure it looks too menacing but we’ll see I am an LWX critic only for STWs. Where are the 60mph winds that are “radar-indicated” to justify the warning? It looked a little better earlier but now I can’t find >20 and this was just reissued. Sometimes you have to look at higher levels or TDWRs but yes they do tend to warn at low thresholds
nj2va
We got a mesoscale precipitation discussion too. The airmass feels like we’re going to get a lot of training storms later.

It’s not just the radar being lacking, but also when I look out west it’s almost full sun with minimal clouds… so that made me wonder

dailylurker
It just seems like something is inhibiting anything from really taking off. Outflow boundaries are being lame, storms aren't growing in coverage, ect. I hear a few rumbles from a storm that's missing me to the NE. It just started making noise. The outflow is blowing through now cooling off temperatures. It's pretty crispy here.
