well this drought guy has had his ass handed to him this week on a silver shovel in the Macungie area .  On Tuesday, I had nearly 11 inches of snow.  Well this morning, add and other 15 inches  and I have  had over two feet in 5 days.  No model in the world saw this coming. That deathband gave me 4 in+ hour rates for 1.5 hours. We now have had more snow this year than any area in PA right now- Alburtis Macungie area is now the snow king of PA this year.- just unbelievable  I shall declare the drought dead and for some people who hate snow, they would say the groundhog was dead to. LOL

I am utterly shocked how much we got in this region from kutztown to macungie and emmaus. I am upset I slept through it. I got pics from a friend in Bethlehem 20 minutes away - may be 5” there at most and 12”+ here.

Just wow the differences just within a county like Bucks and Berks like basically 1" to 13" over a what 25–35-mile area is just astounding!  I knew there would be a lucky soul that picked up 6" but this is like hitting the jackpot and you're in it up there LOL.

That band that dropped all that snow last night was literally like 10 miles wide north to south and stretched along just south of I-78 straight out off the coast of New Jersey south of Long Island pretty amazing feature a training band of snow.

I slept through the whole thing. Looks like 2” eyeballing it from the house, roads and sidewalks just wet. A friend of mine in Kulpsville was out with the dog around 3am and reported light IP at the time.

Yeah I just came in from clearing the car and was even considering looking for a "snowbow" in the west earlier when the sun was busting out in the east and the dryslot with open sky was visible to the west, but the west eventually filled in.

The snow wasn't powder nor was it the concrete like the last couple storms, but was fluffy (probably had lots of pancake flakes overnight).

The incoming band seems to be moving slower than the earlier bands and consolidated.  The SN- with intermittent dropping to flurries, hasn't let up the whole time.  It's not really accumulating anything but has been persistent.

ETA - temp is above freezing now and at 33 with dp 31.  Melting is underway.

Just under 4” here and no shoveling needed, win-win all around. Pleasantly surprised waking up.  Things looked super meh when i went to bed at 1 am. Winter now graded at a D+ as opposed from a D. Still 8” away from average. LV is the snow capital of the east coast this year…

updating a post I made earlier. I said I got 6.5 inches. well I found out my son had cleared the deck railing earlier in the morning. I took a measurement on my driveway and found I got 12". More in line with other observations in this part of Hunterdon county.

It was crazy driving to work. I live just N of Reading where we had 4.5". I work in Lyons Station close to Kutztown where they easily have a foot. Luckily roads are just wet. Light snow has started back up.

That's incredible.  I'm 5 miles south of Reading and had less than 2 inches.  Roads were never anything but wet.

well I was the jackpot this time. Its been since 2016 since I was jackpotted.  Just finished up. Just over 14 in of fluffy white on the picnic table on my deck and near the yard stick on the deck.  The snow flakes were extremely  fluffy pancake size . It was much easier to clean up as even my snow thrower ate through all of the snow . Definitely did not like that ball busting 11 in of snow on Tuesday.

I think you guys need to drive up to Macungie just to see what severe snow banding does. A drive up RT 100 or Rt 29 and you will see the difference within a few miles.  At 4-5 inch rates this morning, as fast as I was typing my measurements to MT Holly, they were changing. I  was hoping for thundersnow but again did not observe lightning.  I have had my fair share of snow now, time for you guys to the south  to get some more.

Here I was thinking I was seeing epicosity last night (did for one hour) only to find out the real deal was only about three miles away where 12-15" fell. All I did was suck death band exhaust for 8.7" :(

Doesn't look like any additional fell this morning
