As a rule of thumb, if I don’t see cold/BN temperatures in all of the last 3 days within my apple weather app, we’re not seeing cold anytime soon.

Following this ^^ rule would have been much more accurate than models.

WB 12Z control is still cold, but it is two weeks away.   Still have to wait to see if a miracle will occur....I would not bet on it unless I was in Northern New England but not giving up yet.

10 days. Last 3 are warm, and that’s going to verify for sure. Maybe even warmer

Thanks! I’ll keep my eye on that. I wonder if it uses the gfs

Can’t wait to read your one paragraph winter preview next fall!

I’m not sure if it will be even as long as one paragraph!

I've posted on here in previous years and people weenie me but....my Weatherbug app is consistently more accurate than whatever the models are showing for the 10-day forecast for my house when it comes to predicting (lack of) cold. .I know these apps just somehow automatically take in model data, but whatever they use and however they massage it is definitely more accurate than reading the GFS or Euro verbatim in the 10-day range.

The euro ens have a good signal...I'm on board for a snowstorm in about 2 weeks.  It will favor inland of course but I've done pretty well in late season events over the past decade or so.  It's really no longer some far fetched rarity.  I just got 4.5" on 3/21/18.  No reason I can't do the same on 3/21/24.

I’m on board too, especially with these 5 day means on the 3 major ensembles for the period of the 18th to the 23rd.

That's a new England look mid season, let alone down here for us in late March of a waning Nino. I'm with PSU, show a couple GFS/Euro runs in a row of snow and I'll bite. This look won't do it for us. Adjust that trof about 250 miles further S.

I love you enthusiasm!

We really need the deepest anomalies south of us though.

That's a good look for New England. I'm sure they will get a couple late season snows the back half of March.

@psuhoffman  WIll be skiing his ass off up in Vermont after Easter lol.
