Technically this one isn't a clipper. It a northern stream shortwave from the Pac. We had some of these in 2014 and 2015 when the tpv acted as a block. They can carry much more juice than a clipper diving from the polar regions.  Stripes are narrow but pretty juicy. Should be a fun storm

yup.. and it seemed like everyone of those storms trended better for us as we got closer to the onset.  A lot of times there was noticeable gulf moisture interaction as the storms tracked in to the midwest.

Lol I remember that …. I think that was early in 2013.

Was this the same storm someone said they didn't believe you had two inches of snow, so you took a picture with a newspaper with the date on it in the background of the ruler in the snow and a thumbs up?

One of my favorite things I've ever seen on this forum.

Still a little nervous I'm gonna get clawed in my spot on this one. It's not all models, but some really seem to show the DC/south of DC jack and then the Southern PA jack.

I too am preparing for the claw. Expectations clawed down. But maybe we claw it back.

OMG I can’t believe somebody remembered that. That was a clipper system but I don’t remember what year. Daytime system

High clouds are already flowing in from the west. Hopefully that caps the temperatures a little bit. Maybe it helps keep the ground colder as well.

My thoughts too. I’m at 37/19

Instead of brining the roads, the TRUE snow weenie covers his lawn and driveway with a layer of ice cubes to ensure instant stickage!

Whats up with the HRRR? Its all north and stuff, has the old screw job precip orientation where it is snowing in Massachusetts before DC. Only 1-2 for DC, Central Jersey is 4-6. Strange.

This model has done a terrible job with just about every event this winter.

It did well for one or both of the Jan events, but a terrible job with the recent one a few days ago
