This is typical north/west does better in these warm type events. They always do better because it’s too warm in an urban environment for snow this winter. You are overcoming A LOT with cement and 35F. I was chuckling to myself

The boroughs and LI are all 4"-8".

It was 31 this morning. I got a few inches here.

Areas in Queens have over 5 inches

Just left for work, so shoveled a 2nd time…gonna guess close to 6” on my lawn (W Babylon). Figuring another inch from what’s left to come.

Kids are with their pop now, who’s a large child himself, so everyone’s happy. I always look forward to Spring, it’s my favorite time of year, but it was pretty nice seeing the large flakes and the nice landscapes for a few hours this morning.

North and west almost always does better.in any setup. That isn't exclusive to this winter or recent winters. The coast (L.I. specifically) did extraordinarily well in the 2000-2018 period because there were so many dynamic systems with perfect benchmark tracks, not to mention lots of blocky periods creating long duration events.

This system was moving too quickly like so many in recent years  and not dynamic enough to drop really high totals at the coast. Still, it was a very good storm for most so nothing to complain about really.

Everyone should probably re-read the first 30 or so pages of this thread. Some can learn….others should consider a large fork for their helping of humble pie. Of course the ones who need that the most will just reappear as if nothing happened….but maybe it will inspire some.
