Ha!   I know you guys don't normally look at the FOUS ( it's an old habit of mine ...) but my god at the QPF at Logan comparing prior runs.

since 12z yesterday's NAM ...every mode cycle only put out 2 intervals of QPF/liq equiv, and the numbers are always .5"-ish then .3"-ish  ... totally ~ .8".  It just was not changing for that location.

12z just now?         .27"  +    1.04"  +   .22"       hahaha    my goodness

Also cools the boundary layer for a big time snow thump by 12Z tomorrow.

Nice convergence there. You would expect that look more north.

Yeah it's wringing out all the QPF where the best 850-900 forcing is...I'd expect to see that when you have a really weak vort and a more rounded trough....not a neg tilt with a strong vort.

Based on the southern trends is it possible that the jack zone will reach PVD area? It seems to me like the southern trend isn't as big as some are making it out to be and therefore the jack zone will still be north of PVD.

I think the jack is definitely north of PVD at the moment. NW RI may do well.

I think BDL is like 15'' below the seasonal average for snowfall. That deficit could be eliminated.

is there a graphic for dummies seasonal snow 'normals' product out there?  yeah yeah one can search the web themselves but if anyone has that link off hand ...

going into the internet and searching for that sort of thing is far less successful now that the internet has become something other than shared information, rather an enterprise for economic ambition and petty greed.  it just makes one angry -
