I was thinking this same thing…that’s two runs in a row with just S stream(no interaction) from GFS.

0z GFS was BS the way it hangs back the southern stream and doesn’t phase at all. Hard sell. The GEFS and EPS both look more amped out west with much earlier and cleaner phasing than the op.

Later and less proficient phasing has been the theme this year and last too Mr Pope…I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss that idea…

There were some camps like this on both models and the eps at 18z was also slightly flatter. 

Tellies don't look bad. With the confluence, a really amped storm shouldn't happen.
