KPITSnow
Just got through the leading edge. Haven’t lost power yet. Might have dodged a bit of a bullet and weirdly no lighting at all

Also seems to have split right before it hit my area which is a fairly common occurrence.
north pgh
Gusted to over 50 mph here. Did not lose power however I heard some transformers blowing in the distance. Some lightning and thunder now after the line has gone through but the pre frontal winds were the worst. Sounds like power lines are down in the area. Pretty calm now. Rd9108
Really?? It was like a light show driving on 79 south. Wind was crazy too, I could feel it wanting to push my car.
Ahoff
Pretty benign. Was windy before the rain started. Have some pretty common thunder and lightning. Run of the mill here, and that’s fine. Not the case everywhere I assume.
Mailman
Not much of anything down this way, either.
ChalkHillSnowNut
Cell just moving through now with some rain/wind and lightening thunder-don’t notice crazy wind just a light show here right now and my house is just about in the total red of the intensity
TimB
Nothing awful. Few sub-severe gusts with the front end of the line as it moved in and some thunder and lightning, mostly several miles away.
jwilson
1 for 6 on severe threats thus far. Aside from the other night when it was raining ice cubes, not much to speak of during these events, locally. Mostly outflow winds. There was definitely a tornado in eastern Ohio last night, however. Evident on radar and supposedly there was a brief video. TimB
Not sure I’m buying the temperature observations at PIT this morning. Jumped from 59 to 67 between the 7 and 8 am hourly observations. Everywhere else seemed to stay steady.

Possible heat burst from collapsing showers? This one Imperial went up above 65F and since cratered below 59F.

TimB
With PIT failing to hit freezing this morning, we probably have one more shot at it on Thursday, which is trending warmer. Our last freeze on 4/7 would be tied for 11th earliest last freeze on record.
TheClimateChanger
Brutal. Fell all the way from 2nd to 5th place on the MTD warmest list, with yesterday's cooldown. I fear we're going to fall pretty dramatically over the next few days. Look at all these recent years in the top 8 though! And people will still make up nonsense about how spring is always cool. TimB
With it looking less and less likely that we see another freeze, the final count may stand at 76 for the season. The previous lowest at PIT was 89 in 2016-17.

TheClimateChanger
If the forecast for the rest of the month is correct, we will finish with a mean temperature for the month of about 56.2F, which would be good for 7th warmest of record. Since 1955, only 2017 (57.3F) saw a warmer April. Also still a good chance at the #1 wettest April on record.

Rain seems to be done for today and we still need 0.19” to set that record. So one more shot at this. It’s actually incredible that we could fall short when we only needed half an inch of rain with 16 days left in the month.
TimB
PIT has done the improbable and scored an 80 today, with probably 2 more to come. This is now the 4th straight April with 4+ 80 degree days, which had never happened in four consecutive years before.

TheClimateChanger
Mean temperature of 73.5F today (high of 83F, low of 64F). You’d think it would be a record, but it fell one short of the 74.5F observed on this date in 1990.
