Posted this in the Chicago record thread, but figured it was worth the cross-post here as well.

MSP up to 63F. All-time monthly high of 64F from 1896 in jeopardy. All-time seasonal high of 68F from December 1998 appears to be safe.

INL set a monthly record high last month, but will come short of the February record high. Still one of only a handful of years in which it reached 50F or better in February.

We hit 64 at one of the 5min obs, before some high clouds moved in. We’ll see this evening if it’s the official high. Warmest winter on record in the bag.

Tomorrow could be a day in which we see mid-upper 70s in the afternoon, and snow on the same calendar day if it arrives before midnight like some of the guidance shows.

The HRRR has 74º here at 2pm, snow showers by midnight, and a -15º wind chill by sunrise Wednesday.

The HRRR is pretty wild with the cold air.  Assuming it’s overdone but only has us around 12 at noon on Wednesday

This is gonna be like high plains Colorado kind of action.  All we need is a landspout tomorrow afternoon from the high-based convection here west of the main moisture axis lol

Minneapolis has now set two outright monthly record high temperatures in the last 5 months (with records dating to 1872) - 92 in October, and 65 in February. Additionally, only one year exceeded the 98F reading from September (1931 - 104, on 9/10; and 99, on 9/8), and the 55F reading in January has been exceeded only twice (1/25/1944 - 58F; and 1/24/1981 - 57F). Honorable mention to August - the 98F reading has only been exceeded in 9 years (5 of them by just one degree).
