nwohweather
Heavy snow here as well. The flakes look like someone ripped feathers out of a pillow they're so thick. I didn't expect the grass to be covered today, nice little surprise
SolidIcewx
I’m quite surprised. Took the beater out to do some running around when it started to rip. Glad the ole girl can still get it in 4wd
Stebo
Quite shocking how hard it is snowing even behind that band. I have been at 1/4SM here at Metro for over a half hour now.
Powerball
Although total amounts will still be underwhelming, considering you all managed to get 100% snow when a mix or even straight rain was expected for today's event should definitely count as a good bust.

One of the good busts definitely. It caught me off guard. Just shows when you don’t look at the weather for two hours shit can change on a dime. michsnowfreak
It was like a cloudburst of snow. It was wild. I was not expecting anything really, thought we would get rain. Got 2.0" here in basically an hour. DTW had 1.9". Looks like a general 1.5-2" in SE MI and more further north, though rates were probably hardest right in the heart of the metro. Huge flakes too. Its melty now, but was certainly fun while it lasted.

KeenerWx
Looks like we’ll grab an inch or two tomorrow. With that we’ll be in striking distance of double digits. As much as I hate this winter, I’m all for whatever breaks the monotony. Futile records be damned. On the flip side, loving the warmth currently modeled. Happy to leave a s**t winter behind expeditiously.
WestMichigan
And with 5.5" reported at GRR yesterday the bottom 10 futility record is now in the rear view mirror. We are not sitting at #11 on the list going back to around 1900 or so.
OrdIowPitMsp
Low of 10 overnight. One more day of deep winter until we thaw again. Very well could be our coldest morning for the rest of winter looking at the extended.
weatherbo
Feeling like winter. Forecast high today of 18 with 2-4" of snow possible through tonight after 11.5 inches the past few days. Ratios have been pretty high, running around 20:1. Temps should stay below freezing until Tuesday then two days in the mid-30's before a slight cool down. Forecast low tonight is 3 degrees, if more clearing can occur with the flow shifting westerly, there's a good chance of going below zero for a time. WeatherMonger
Started snowing here about 6:30am, been a steady accumulating rate since. AFD ssid it would start around 9am and clear the CWA by 6pm. Not sure if the early start meams an early end or not, if not would likely over achieve the 3-5 call. Have to be approaching 2 1/2 - 3" now if I had to guess. See if I can get a measurement in a bit. And we all know with 2 more months of snow potential that is extremely unlikely. Terrible as the winter has been, we were not gonna run futility with a stretch like the one we saw in January. I don’t think many people comprehend how little snow has to fall in a winter for futility records around this region. I mean look how bad things have been in the UP for businesses that rely on winter, yet a place like Calumet is already well above their futility records and it’s only mid February.
