I was just wondering when they were going to extend the WSW.  Places in Fairfax County are 4-5" by now.

I haven’t been accurately measuring because I’ve been out with my kids but I’m guessing 4+ right on the dc/takoma border and piling up quick with this high ratio stuff.  Maybe gonna make a run at 6.

Going to need some rate increases to see anyone get to the 8 inch mark. I actually thought double digits might be possible for some isolated areas this morning. I wonder when the inverted trough sets up and if we get a pivot later this afternoon.

you got a measurement guess? I've been doing a shoddy job and am somewhere over 3" and that's all I can really say.

No idea honestly.  Probably 4” but it’s hard to tell.

It's actually not backbuilding as much as feeding from the other side of the Apps. Pretty sure that radar jump isn't real. Radar always has trouble picking up the higher elevations when there's strong orthographic lift.

Back building baby!  We always get worried and this shit happens almost every time.  We do pretty well with this

of course we worry. We are not a snowtown. How is the 12z gfs looking for this event? any southward tick?

in Downtown Baltimore, it's been snowing at a good rate but I've only added a half inch or so to the snowpack since 9 a.m.  It's a fairly wet snow now, and its compacting at a good rate. Hoping the snow last a few more hours and it starts accumulating better later this afternoon.

Just home from work. 2.5" so far despite a nearly 3 hour lull this morning after that initial heavy band. Steady light to moderate snow now. Temp is 29.

Glad to see you getting in on the action my friend. Keep us posted!
