gopper
Towson: Under heavier returns now, but mostly virga with a few very tiny flakes starting to fall Suspect 6z gfs will come in with 4-6 in results as well since the NWS hoisted the Warning.
jayyy
Bang! Let’s do this What a bounce in our direction over the past 24-36 hours! Oh, niño. You have restored my faith in mid Atlantic humanity. On that note… snow has come in quickly. Looks lovely outside.

adelphi_sky
I'm so close to that 5" jackpot. The difference between Laurel and Adelphi is huge in this scenario. lol

jayyy
They also upped their totals! lol ninja’dGlad I decided to stay at my brother’s house tonight. I got off work late in Columbia and was scheduled to turn around and be there at 630am, so I decided to stay in Ellicott City to save myself 90 mins of driving to and from union bridge. May have been a good move snow wise with these last min developments.
nw baltimore wx
Just started here. A fine dusting on surfaces, 29.
MillvilleWx
Hmmmm. Getting a little concerned about the valley here in Frederick. Might see the heaviest snow go south and east of here. We shall see later. Still looks like 2-4” is possible for me, but heavier totals might just miss here. Hopefully it plays out like the NAM, but I never want to put faith in that model when other hi-res are starting to get that look I’m mentioning. stormtracker
We really reeled this one in. Wish DC could get into that heavier band, but we really can't complain. 24 hours ago, trashcan of despair. Giddy up everybody. Back to bed for me.

jayyy
yeah and not exactly the best of conditions to drive in this AMCertainly. Even the short commute from EC to Columbia would suck. Awaiting the text from my boss telling me not to come in today since many of my coworkers commute pretty far.

jayyy
This snow is definitely fluffy. Ratios should be 10-12:1 for many. 15:1 in far northern spots near the M/D line

Just took a stroll outside, big fat wet flakes, but sidewalks and untreated roads already caving. Really coming down honestly.
Heisy
… kinda speechless. It’s the NAMs but hard to ignore 1) this close to the event and 2) when the Euro and HRRR agree (albeit not as expensive with that purple area) It’s just about game time, so let’s see what happens. Didn’t I tell you earlier today? Dc/Balt would beat Philly. Enjoy it! Someone in MD will get 6+ .
AtlanticWx
is it just me or is dry air building in faster than modeled? or is this not a concern (current radar vs the two model depictions for 4 am)
