WxUSAF
For those who care, WBAL updated to 1-3” for most, 3-4” for immediate M/D line area, and 0-1” for far southern MD.

snowfan
Thinking 1-2 from I-70 south to rte 50 and 2-3 north of 70 is a decent bet.
DDweatherman
Wonder what was up with the euro at 0z? 6z always seems to come in drier but 0z was a damn bullish run.

BlizzardNole
Daytime light snow with 1-2 inches on top of snow on the ground sounds like a beautiful winter day!
LeesburgWx
I never realized how Loudoun is so far north of DC on a west to east basis. Looks to make quite the difference for this storm.
mappy
2-4 by morning up here will mean another snow day for BCPS. They can't do a delay as they were already getting out 3hrs early for the end of the marking period. What a fun week for the kids!

SomeguyfromTakomaPark
This event will be a dilemma for the districts around dc, light snow but right at the morning rush. Some districts like MCPS already had 2 snow days this week.

I also think it is funny that they now get a half day for end of the marking period... Just another reason to give time off. There is no reason for a half day. Teachers are already underappreciated enough - are they just supposed to do that in their personal time?
WVclimo
Schools have been closed here all week. Doubt if they will open tomorrow if it’s snowing.
ovechkin
Euro would get DCA to its historical average snow for January. Also been 72+ hours straight now at or below freezing. Considering last January low temps hit 35 at 11pm and never budged all night and the obvious lack of snow it's been a pretty nice week. Even better if the 1-2 tomorrow verifies.

I'm no teacher buy have family members that are and I don't think people realize how much of their personal time is used for the "behind the scenes" stuff. Now the perk is being off for 8 weeks over the summer lol.
