North Balti Zen
Running my first 5K New Years Day. Nice and warm for it. Course, it might be wet from all the melted snow cascading down the seaboard from Philly to Boston. Whatever they are getting today, ain't gonna last long, that's for sure. Ian
Im in the green and its delivering... Id say moderate snow now bordering on moderate-heavy..... visibility reduced drastically nice.. was thinking you dont get out of 25+ dbz echoes with light snow. people with less are probably nearer the edge. overall it's good for dc and northeast i think... that stuff sw should pull through etc. not a lot of evidence the whole area of light snow back to the bay has much life -- spotty etc, but at least we have a nice potential to lay down some snow. WinterWxLuvr
It would seem that from the surface info I can find that this low is WAY off the coast. Was it modeled that way? And, from looking at radars, it would seem a bunch of forcast snow totals are in trouble.

Steady light snow in wheaton, little dusting on the grass and driveways. big deal.

Absolutely the most disgusting storm of my life. Reminds me of March '09. I sat and watch that storm for days, then on Sunday, sat under constant virga all day long, only to get up the next morning with nothing, all the while watching basically a blizzard unfold in DC. Everyone was talking about Nina's and temp outlooks, and I said months ago that I was more worried about a lack of precip than I was cold. Of course, it is early, the winter appears to be doing some strange things, so we still have alot to look forward to.
