tplbge
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing with Norfolk. the worst sign is when ocean cirty and SBY see all snow. Our classic storms are usually rain and 35-40 for those areas
AlYourWxPal
Heavy snow here in Salisbury. We have 5.5" on the ground now. It's at least an inch an hour now. Doing live cut ins every hour. I'm exhausted!

Fozz
The snow started right at 12PM. A very light dusting so far, as it is coming down lightly with plenty of visibility.

Bob Chill
The radar motion is nice. Time to take the dog for a walk and enjoy some snow and wind.
WinterWxLuvr
it looks like the backedge dc area to ric area isnt doing as much now.. the low is definitely starting to exert itself. tough to say what happens.. could keep pushing east or stick around/expand etc. one issue is we're already getting into a w component to the wind.. once we start downsloping that hurts at least a bit. I've only lived in NVa for 3 years now, but one thing I've learned is that when my neighbors flag shows a NW wind, I don't care what a radar or a model shows, it ain't gonna snow. Ian
starting to pivot west. http://radar.weather...101111&loop=yes while eroding on the western flank lately.. if those bands east keep going could shut us off

It's sorta fun when people south another snow and people northeast get a hecs while we get flurries. At least a nap looks like a solid idea this afternoon now. Kevin Druff

I know how this feels. on 1/25/2000 I was literally 5 miles from heavy snow, while we got intermittent flurries (the line was I-81). Literally, you crossed the interstate and within a minute or two it was whiteout.

Hahaha. My mom's house was in the snow that day. 6" and I still had to goto school :-/
NattyBo
Flurries again in Rockville, a bit heavier than last time which is to say there is at least more than one or two flurries a minute lol
Ian
looks like while the western edge erodes a superband might try to set up over psuhoffman's house as usual.
peribonca
Looks like a band of mod snow is forming from Westminster to Leesburg to the blob near Charlottesville. These pockets should merge in the next hour. Really rooting for you guys out in the western suburbs of DC... the more you get, the more we get in the city! http://www.intellicast.com/National/Nexrad/BaseReflectivity.aspx?region=lwx&animate=true

ovechkin
So good snows hit Raleigh, RIC, SAL, DOV, PHL, NYC, BOS and we get nothing. and now with that blob in WVA we have missed to the South, North, East, and west. Can't remember any strom like this. Quite infuriating. It's almost like some shield has set up around the beltway.
adelphi_sky
Just flurries here in Adelphi. This storm has to be the biggest tease in a long time. Ocean City is getting all the fun.
