Dino
I knew as soon as I woke up and saw not a flake had fallen that it was time to storm-cancel DC-BALT-ANP. I poured too many damn hours into this storm for nothing. **** this ****. See you all next year.
Ian
Some flurries now. The clouds are quickly moving NE to SW now. That tells me that the 700MB low that has brought all this dry air is contracting and migrating toward the strengthening coastal. If we are going to get any pivot to bring the snow back in DC Metro, we should see bands starting to move west again soon. Radar is starting to improve SE of DC it seems... Some evidence the low is getting mor effective at pushing moisture back

I poured too many damn hours into this storm for nothing. **** this ****. See you all next year. Actually Annapolis might make out OK in all this. It is light snow right now and if we can stay on the western edge we could possibly get 4 or more.
peribonca
While the snowfield has been retracting from NW to SE across the DC area, some of the more moderate 15DBZ returns are streaming NNW from Colonial Beach... think the precip will start building into the area soon. btw in Glover Park (DC) currently lgt snow http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=lwx&product=N0R&loop=yes

Nice to have a storm that keeps everyone guessing. part of it is that we have too much information and too much access to others with information. this storm maybe should make people wonder how often they should update their thoughts etc. i know im thinking about that. NJHurricane
not to butt in on another region...but its too early to call bust anywhere til the pivot/capture...which was not progged to start for another few hours. Also on several of the models it looked like snow intensity increased even to the SW of the storm center once it really gets cranking later. Hope you all do well relative to expectations you woke up with this morning.
