EHoffman
Steady snowtv for the past 90 mins here. Sidewalks and roads wet. Goes to show we literally need to be ripping to get any meaningful daytime accumulation in DC. 2

Here I am driving around in my EV purchased during the snow drought for the first time. Make it about a mile and realize the snow is collecting nicely on the hood as I am driving. and not melting since no engine heat. I am wondering what happens in a REAL snow while driving?

That makes more sense, but it isn't very reliable outside of a few hours. Ends for good? That doesn’t jive so much with some of our other guidance. wxdude64
Sent a 0.6" in for the 6 hours ending 1 pm and cleaned the 1st board (that's a giant 0.1 per hour lol), so a total of 1.3 since it started, 1.1 is on the 2nd snowboard. Temp 28.6/27.3 and the light snow is still falling.

jayyy
Latest HRRR - snow end by 1-2 am. That makes more sense, but it isn't very reliable outside of a few hours. It’s honestly hard to tell. Many of the globals seem to blossom more precip over us from the coastal, so it’s hard to gauge when it ends by just looking at the back edge on the radar. Hoping it snows through 12z tomorrow. H2O
Just not doing much here. Radar keeps showing very light returns to my SW. I know I'm being impatient but just stinks to have hours of snow, no accums and people already reporting SN and roads pummeled. Guess the silver lining is that it IS snowing.

If you try to compare DC metro snow with people out in Frederick you're gonna have a bad time. We'll get our couple of inches once the sun goes down and it'll be fine.

It hasn’t started accumulating again on paved surfaces here either. Finally starting to show again on my car after I cleaned it off earlier around 11.
