I still have silt and mud from the Catawba River in my backyard. Finally got rid of most of the debris. Every day driving to work I see destruction still. Bridges out, mangled trailers and houses. I think we've all gone a bit numb to it. I hope 2025 is prosperous for all of us in the snow department and we avoid all major natural disasters! Amen. We’ve earned the snow this year probably more than any other place in the country. Happy new years!
BooneWX
I like where we’re sitting. This first storm is just going to be a sacrificial lamb. 12gfs was a good look and that precip field would likely be more expansive verbatim with a sub 1000 mb low off of Charleston. Let’s ride. BooneWX
Looking at Sunday night, I’m just not seeing it. This could’ve been a decent event snow/sleet wise if the high was situated over Iowa or just west of the lakes. The weak high north of the Bahamas will aide in waa. Can’t see this being anything worse than 34 and rain south of the Virginia line.
