calculus1
Still light snow, but I’ve got to get some sleep…Hard to tell what to measure this as. More than a trace. Not a half inch. I’ll call it 0.1 or 0.2, I suppose. We’ll see if it increases as the night wears on.. 3
LakeNormanStormin
Cornelius was tardy to the party, but it dumped for about an hour between 1:45-2:45 am. Picked up right around 0.5-0.75 of an inch by Lake Norman. The drought is over!

Even Mills River had a dusting. Probably how you got flakes. I'm directly in the lee of Mt Mitchell so you can forget about anything here out of that direction barring a strong mesolow. 1
WNC_Fort
Absolutely nothing down here in Old Fort either. Heck, I saw stars most of the night. Hardly even clouded up. I see nothing to get my hopes up about in the long-term either.
mercurydime
I saw zero flakeage. Not even a flurry. Like wncsnow says, as the crow flies, Mt. Mitchell is just a dozen or so miles away. It's like a snow stopper.

Looks like it just slid and picked up on the other side of the northern foothills in the county.. 3
mercurydime
I kept looking at the radar last night and that's exactly what happened. There was a no snow band between the mountains and foothills/ western piedmont that ran WSW to ENE. Glad you got to see some snow. Wonder if the South Mountains got any extra enhancement?

It's crazy how you have been beating me in cold temps. The flood had something to do with it I think.
