Monitoring some form of significant ( to be determined more precisely) impact winter storm, Jan 16/17th. Moderate seems to be the upper limit - for now

Both the Reggie and the GEM have a Canadian warmer bias, this is fairly wildly known. If those models were correct about the Jan 7th storm we had, I would have been rain through most of the storm, which of course I wasn't.

My guess is we see the hi res Messenger shuffle east a bit this afternoon as usually happens . Keeping the aloft warming in SE NE

I'll be headed to Presque Isle on Saturday, buddy got to camp on Little Madawaska lake last night, he had 12" on the deck, south of there was slim, hopefully this storm evens things out and clubs can connect the dots, have a new Rave 850 staring at me.

Ahh very nice. One of my good buds will be picking up the same sled you have when we arrive up in Sinclair/Cross lake soon, at Fort Kent Ski Doo.  All 3 of us got new iron for this year. Me and our other buddy both managed to get the 850 MXZ Turbo R Comp…so everybody is excited to get rolling. Hoping they get 6-8” up there, that would probably make things quite good if they pull that off tomorrow/Wednesday.

Sweet, enjoy that Comp, very nice sled, My stepbrother lives in Caribou, currently looking at the Xterrain at Ft. Kent, maybe we'll see ya out there, most of my group are on Polaris I'm the outcast this yr, sold my '22 XCR.

Much of CT? Seems like only SE sections . Unless you’re fully buying Reggie

Reggie has barely budged for days (slightly warmer now) while the globals rapidly caved warmer. 12z goofus gives you some zr now. I think I'd lean on you getting at least some ZR, but whatever. It's 2-3" of snow and then at worst a coating of zr.

Looks like the euro is coming in warmer aloft too.

He owns it now..has for quite a while now. Nice guy.

I know he owns it, I bought a sled from him back in 2007, Didn't know if he may have sold it or not, And Yes, Great guy, Went out of his way for me, Long story.

That’d be fun…all the best. And your Rave’ is gonna be a blast I do think. They’re beautiful too.

I’ll look for a bunch of Polaris’s and a Lynx…:thumbsup::snowing:

Ticked a bit NW again.

Nice stripe over the interior on the euro. Looks a bit like the GFS except maybe a little bit NW.

I’d def have an advisory for at least west of 128 in SNE. You’re going to either get 3-5” of snow or get like 2-3” plus some ZR/IP. Either one is going to trigger an advisory. It actually might be more like 3-5” with a touch of ZR at the end with the increasing QPF before the warming aloft makes it inland.

I think 3-6” is very likely . Maybe zrdz for an hour or two tomorrow before ending as snow . Nice thump overnight into morning

3-5” is a nice little event. I’ll take that and run for sure. Nice that it’s juicing up as we close in on for time. The terd has been transformed.

Huge win if it plays out. Feels like it's been like pulling teeth to get a positive trend closing in for sure.

That’d be nice. I did decently last Sunday, so I can’t really complain, but I know further south didn’t do as well, so hoping this evens it out some for you guys too. :snowing:

So is this the first real win and good showing from the reggie since the Jan 26-27 2015 score that everyone likes to quote as the last time it was "good"? Storm hasnt played out yet but as far as i can tell the RGEM has been locked for days barely waffling.

It’s lead the way all winter . Including the screamers. No idea why it’s been bashed
