Of course we all know that from the observations after 7:00 there had to be at least several tenths of an inch (0.3-0.5 maybe) added to the 1.4 inch storm total at the park but their history is not to add to the total and just ignore it like it never happened.

It will probably be the case again unless someone that cares is measuring at the Park today. The only time they seemed to get somewhat accurate measurements was when they had the Conservatory doing the measurements at the Park several years ago, and that lasted 4-5 years. Not sure why that relationship ended.

I was in Midtown by 8am and it was raining. It's been on and off light rain/freezing rain since. Maybe a little sleet too.  It wouldn't except any more acclumation since then. It is snowing right now though that may add up to something.

Temp starting to drop, I’m down to 29 with light freezing rain. Decent glaze on trees/my car. Pavement thankfully is wet.

it changed back to snow here at 3:55 but it's a very light snow, none of this is going to accumulate even though the temps are now below freezing.

Just wished we didn’t get the warm layer just above the surface.

It makes you wonder what kind of storm would have to occur to keep this from happening-- this storm even tracked south of us and wasn't a coastal hugger.  Perhaps the SST are simply too warm for this time of year?

Meanwhile, snow has changed to freezing rain all the way into southern Maine.

Temp is down to 29.6° here as of 4pm.  Today's max was 31.6° at 3:15pm (45 minutes ago).  Wind has picked up and droplets are now hitting the windows on the west side of the house instead of on the east side.

it's ironic that it changed back to snow here and yet it's not sticking even though it's below freezing again (it's a very light snow)

Officially my worst freezing rain conditions of the 2020s so far. 1.5” of snow followed by around .10 of ice. Still some very light freezing rain and 30° just east of HVN.

You're new to continental living, granted you're still on the water but it's different. You'll see plenty of ice. Don't look forward to it ;) These hills are killers.
