If we could just get this thing a county more to the south I'd be happy snowblower still down.trends are good. 1
Chicago916
NAM says shift the WSW southeast in Illinois. Maybe NAM is just being NAM though but some other CAMs also are trending this way. Fingers crossed in the city.

homedis
Liking the trends so far, a slightly weaker low would produce a more spread the wealth situation in N IL it seems. As long as we can avoid rain here in Chicago, I'll be happy (famous last words).

Malacka11
Pretty hyped to see what LOT's afternoon AFD will be like. Not to get ahead of myself, but if a slightly farther south solution does verify that would be a pretty big W for the RGEM/CMC

I think it was pretty smart of Lot just to expand that one county thus far.

Sounds like they plan on the warm air aloft will create mixing. Only model I see having rain reach here is FV3 all others are snow. Hmmm Sure hope they are wrong... Let the disappointment begin.

I don't know if I've ever been this close to perfect ambiguity going into a storm. Quite literally on the border of the future warning area in Aurora, with models keeping me optimistic. On the other hand, I don't really mind a miss to the NW; it would sting, but as long as I walk away from this storm with some snowpack for later in the week, I'd be happy to be honest. Radtechwxman
Hrrr/rap continue to be pretty nw for here and basically track low over me and have a rain for good chunk of Tues but nice front end thump. 3km and 12km nam though have trended more se and keep me out of mixing or rain as much. Not sure what to believe. Hrrr/rap have been pretty consistent.
