stormy
11 minutes ago, Heisy said: It’s a flat out joke. These are back to back runs under 26 hours. Yea, I guess in a way you can say it’s picked up on some trends at 12z so it adjusted, but what’s the point of running it beyond 24 hours if it does this crap? Always use it as a strictly nowcast tool never a forecasting one beyond a day. Lesson for the newbies . The same can be said of the GFS, Euro, GEM. None of the models predicted how much we would warm overnight upstairs after the HP moved offshore. Especially western areas. This threw everybody and everything including the NWS for a loop. katabatic
Some hope (at least out here) - transitioned over to snow (for now). Not heavy either which I think is a good sign. Temp fell back to 28.0. Gosh I hope that the WAL mixed out. Fingers crossed.

NorthArlington101
For what it’s worth, some of the mesos had favored spots starting as sleet and then flipping by to snow with better rates. But maybe we can retire colder ground temps mattering… as well as snow in Arkansas. And never look at the RGEM again
