Forecast temps have been steadily increasing for next week. Not the best sign.

Yeah, Arctic air being shown draining farther west in Canada and Northern Rockies. Need a strong HP drop down in conjunction with a strong system to pull it SE. Some Models also showing Aleutian ridging by day 10 and trough moving westward. That's a Nina signature. Aleutian Ridge. Hopefully it winds up further east into Alaska. We need upstream blocking to establish and counter . JB used to say, without a block colds not a lock.

Tried to tell y'all. It's looking like 5 days of below average then near average.

If it were to end up only 5 days, I’d still be thankful for the 5 days. Any cold is good cold. But it appears to me like more than a total of 5 days is the most likely between now and 11/15 with these days over two different periods.

Some people enjoy the dry, windy, cold but if there's no threat of snow, it's just a waste to me. I'm more interested to see what happens after this upcoming pattern because it does not appear one that's conducive for snow.

Agree. The recent time period seems to be just this. I love the cold anyway I can get it. But looking forward to a little one nugget at some point this season. The hunt continues..

Happy Thanksgiving folks!

You don’t sound like you’re as much of a pure cold lover (SE brand of cold I mean) as me. It makes me want to go outside and enjoy it. Different strokes for different folks!

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

Cold NW wind in the mountains of NC is not pleasant to me. Plus I have 2 boys who need to be outside playing

I just want a hard freeze so my bushes and grass will stop growing.

Gonna cut mine tomorrow one more time and hope it’s the last but I also said that the past 2 times. Located in the foothills and still have hydrangeas blooming - absolutely nuts.

Sammy Crouse: I’d start watching that December 7th-12th timeframe if you’re in the Carolinas & up to the Northeast. We have cold air in place & could potentially have some moisture. *IF* something happens, I can bet somebody gets a huge storm but it’s still TBD. Stay Tuned
