gravitylover
I fell asleep and missed it all I heard heavy sleet on the window and woke up for a minute, looked outside and it was pouring rain and sleet that had washed the street clean so I rolled over and went back to sleep disappointed. Now it's mostly over and it looks like I have maybe 3". Blah

The intensity and flake size are awe-inspiring right now - when one of the big aggregates lands on my jacket, it almost feels like being hit by a snowball Did you get 4 inches an hour for 2 hours?! That's absolutely amazing. In the Southern Poconos, it was 3 inches an hour and a foot or so of snow.
wishcast_hater
Just woke up and I guess I missed all the action. Looks to be be about a foot of snow outside. I just read the discussion from the national weather service and duchess and ulster county‘s got hit the hardest. We are due for an additional 2 to 4 possibly 5 inches of snow throughout the day as a secondary law is formed. .

gravitylover
33/32 with some of the heaviest white rain I've seen in a long time (ever?). It's funny, I cleaned the cars off earlier and even though it's snowing pretty hard it's not accumulating on the cars. Sun angle?

wishcast_hater
What a great day, been snowing moderately all morning, picked up a few more inches, still coming down lightly now. Pulled out the quad and was ripping through the property and street. Just a wonderful day, all my kids outside and not on the computer/phone/xbox. Hitman
A disappointing 5” at 7:30 am in Jewett. Snowed pretty good most of the morning. 2-3” on the car when I got back to it. Must’ve been just too far north. and 4” here at the homestead. Nice wintery look for a couple of days.
gravitylover
Looks wintry, sounds good and crunchy when cars drive by. After the whole day and a fair bit of overnight sleet and ice pellets the grass is finally (mostly) covered and stuff is weighted and matted down so next time it snows it won't take as much to cover it. That's good because I don't seem to get more than a few inches at a time anymore. I think I'll spend some time today taking stuff out of the basement again and getting the rest off the floor in preparation for the upcoming flooding
