Fozz
Looks and feels almost like last week didn't happen at all. Yesterday was really the last day of the snowpack and the day it basically disappeared. Now we have very few traces remaining. It was a solid 9-10 days.

kgottwald
At IAD and at my house, the temperature did not budge all night. 64 at 3 p.m. and 64 at 6 a.m., despite the NWS forecast calling for a low of 53. This isn't the first time I've seen such a low-temp bust. The forecast models seem to be completely unable to handle overnight warm, humid airmasses in winter. According to NWS Blacksburg I should cross 50 today with a forecasted 58 high, but they failed badly yesterday with a 53 forecasted and an actual of 44.7. We shall see. Me and my big mouth.... So, crossed 50 around 2 pm yesterday, been ABOVE it since. High was 55.3 degrees. Currently 50.7/49.8 and foggy. Sheesh. EDIT- the 43.0 degree 7 am reading yesterday shattered the previous 'warm minimum' for the date, old was 38 degrees from 1989. Not sure why I didn't check until now. I see more records coming.
