ORH_wxman
Much colder GFS run but GGEM went significantly warmer. GEM was so cold at 12z that even the warmer 00z run is still a decent thump (esp over interior)…we’ll see if euro can cool more. It’s been the stubborn one despite cooling some at 12z.

TauntonBlizzard2013
Gfs is pretty cold, thumps everyone pretty good before any mixing. CMC is much warmer than 12z, but still good for NNE.

Boston Bulldog
Now look at how the different handling of vorticity changes the trough orientation 12 hours later. No wonder 0z pops to the coast.

What a monster out there in clown range on the CMC for the 13th-14th. GFS lost that system but maybe it comes back. We had a nice 3 week stretch that started last year on Jan 6. Can we do it again? Damage In Tolland
Despite the GFS being in its own .. a screamer seems just about unavoidable now. I guess we can give the Euro/ EPS another cycle or two to cool . Another impact system late Tue into Wed. Strong to damaging winds possible along with heavy precipitation.
