Jed33
Had a couple other small snow showers and flurries in the last hour. Missed an extremely heavy one myself just to the NE. Hopefully there will be a few more left this evening. At least it’s not a complete shut out as I feared earlier today.
John1122
Picking up here as it gets dark, which seems to usually be the case in these type events.
Carvers Gap
Nice squall just moved through. Heavy snow showers w/ 1/8mi visibility and winds 25-30mph(gusting stronger). We now officially have snow on the ground - probably a dusting to maybe a tenth or two.

BlunderStorm
Currently sitting on about half an inch in Honaker with consistent light snowfall for the past couple hours. Road surfaces remain uncovered but the grass switched over easily.

Daniel Boone
GFS really was GooFuS with this one. Saw WJHL show their Model cast earlier and it just totally blew it. Allender that used to be there told me it was basically the GFS they use.

John1122
Been under a persistent NW flow band for several hours but it's light and has only amounted to a dusting. I would guess above 2500 they are probably gonna be closer to 1/2 to 3/4ths of an inch.

BlunderStorm
As of midnight I've reached exactly 2 inches for the day. This is half of the entirety of last winters total from a humble nw flow event. Wow!

tnweathernut
Had a light dusting in Gray this AM (in the mulch and along the edges of the driveway. Had a couple of decent bursts last night, but not much. On my drive to the office this morning (Johnson City to Erwin), we didn't have any snow on the ground, even through Unicoi. Looks like most of the heavier bursts stayed north near the TN/VA line and up into SW VA, also above 3500 feet and along the ridgetops.

Between the tourists (used to not be that many) and the weather, it can get crazy at 5,000’!
