This has to Count as a grincher for ski resorts . Just went thru the cams . I mean geez . Many trails  will simply be ice rinks by mid week , gotta exercise caution testing them out

Definitely a huge grinch for VT.

Waterville issued a "save the snow" day being closed today. They probably couldn't open the lifts anyway due to wind. I wouldn't be surprised if other mountains are closed today as well. They should be able to fire up the guns tomorrow night and nearly run them continuous through the rest of the week. Not like I can ski much anyway. I got the Ikon and Waterville Value pass and I think they're both invalid starting Saturday through the end of the year.

The NWS river gauge is ridiculous. Sometimes it updates every 15 min, sometimes every 2 hours. You’d think in 2023 they could figure that out

Have you had issues with the river flowing onto your driveway in the past?

NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
1030 AM Update... A significant storm system will continue to
impact the region through the remainder of the day with flooding
rains, damaging winds, and coastal flooding. Latest RAP13 sfc
pressure analysis shows a low pressure center along the VT/NY
state line along with another low off the New Jersey coastline.
Northeast radar mosaic shows heavy rainfall continuing to stream
northward with a convective line moving NNE over eastern CT.
Will continue to monitor convective trends through the day as
these will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall rates
and they will be capable of mixing down the 90+ kt LLJ. Went
ahead and upgraded interior York and Strafford to a high wind
warning based on latest guidance as well as obs and expanded the
wind advisory further inland. Also issued a hurricane force wind
warning for the outer waters off the Mid Coast. If possible
please stay away from forested areas and heed any flood
warnings.

Climb it and ride it?

So as much as you are a crazy SOB for wanting all this, you're mostly right on this one.

I think Connecticut got away with what could have been a lot worse as far as power outages, but just to our North in Massachusetts southeast Massachusetts and upward, they're dropping like flies.
