I am not sure what you are looking at....but me thinks we have an overall colder than normal peak winter season upcoming between now and the end of February. Now whether that translates to any snow....who knows....it might be like the winter of 1976-77 cold but dry and little snow.

Is it me or is something wrong with the NWS Mt. Holly Discussion tonight. I don't see temps above freezing after Sunday yet I see the below...

LONG TERM /MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY/...
High pressure builds across the Deep South Monday night into
Tuesday, before shifting across the southeast states and offshore
Tuesday night. While the high will not fully build into our region,
there will likely be enough of an impact to keep the forecast dry
overnight Monday through Tuesday night.

High pressure well to our south moves out to sea Wednesday ahead of
the next weather system. On Wednesday, an area of low pressure will
develop near the Great Lakes region, before shifting toward the Mid
Atlantic region Wednesday night. Low-mid level moisture and lift
increases as an associated mid level short wave/vorticity impulse
moves into the region, which could help lead to showers across the
area. By Thursday, this low will become absorbed by a coastal low
that is forecast to move northward offshore of the east coast. The
majority of the long term guidance keeps the coastal low offshore.
This would keep the majority of the precipitation offshore, but
there could be some wrap around precipitation as a trough from the
previously absorbed low moves across the area during the day
Thursday. Temperatures will be cold enough to start out as snow
everywhere, before warming and changing to rain for much of the area
during the day.

High pressure is forecast to briefly build across the southeast
states Friday into Saturday, and could impact the Mid Atlantic
region, keeping the forecast dry.

Umm no it's not going to be like 77', one week of good departures will not make it like that winter lol

That's Wxtrix language.

What we need is 2 grown men in the driveway beating the shit out of the each other to prove their point w/snow shovels (I'll buy tickets for this) until authorities arrive. That's my take...

Hopefully good runs tonight.

Steady rain/45F

One week of good departures is 5 1/2 more days than last winter.

Rain, 46F. Yay!

So far this storm is overhyped it is very underwhelming just some light steady rain and the wind is a complete dud maybe I had a gust to like 25 mph at best so far.  This whole dam thing sucks.  Something has to give I mean it's below zero out west now.

Yep, things are racing out probably by 1am.

Have some leftover light rain moving through but so far picked up 0.37" last night and 0.53" this morning for a 2-day event total of 0.90".  My "low" in this non-diurnal temp regime, was 49 at midnight, and so far my "high" has been my current 57, with dp 57.

PHL hasn't gone below 0F in 30 years (since 1994). :P
