Same here with a coating. Got a nice burst of snow going right now too. Pittsburgh radar showing what should be another wave coming through later on this evening.

I’ve paid two different Mexican cops $100 in cash to get out of “jails” so I try to avoid it I unless it’s Guadalajara or Mexico City …

18z Eps ever so slightly improved from 12z. It's a little cooler at 850 and 5H anomalies shows the vort is not quite as deep. Confluence may be a touch better but it's hard to say for certain to these old eyeballs. Anyway, check the run date stamps when comparing because they may not be in the same order as in 12z top and 18z bottom. Sorry.

Snow of varying rates has been occurring here throughout the evening, with about a half inch of wet snow on the deck and grassy surfaces.

Temps hovering just above 32ºF (32.5ºF currently). Going by the tenth, my weather station still actually hasn’t  gotten down to the freezing mark at any point since overnight Dec 23rd.

6z GFS snow for the 7th storm

I don't know if I've ever seen a map with that kind of straight line cutoff that shuts out everyone from Buffalo to Albany to Boston and North.

Solid snowstorm for I-80 and south though.

The Nam and CMC both advertising an LSV coating-1" Thur AM as the "Jan 4th" low passes well to our south but interacts with some energy and forcing over S PA.   Temps are near freezing.

The EC has switched camps and joined the Icon with the Jan 7th system being a Miller A now as well.   Slides the low off the Northern NC Coast instead of climbing to near Ohio.

Happy New Year everyone.
