NWS CTP was off 1" or 66% lower than predicted 24 hours ago. This isn't the first time this year that this has been so. Beyond a vague sense of the weather 3 days from now how in god name are people living and dieing on models 14 days away?

The same reason people play slot machines with so little chance to win?   Your point should definitely ring to anyone who states things in a closed ended fashion as to the weather.

47 degrees and foggy this morning.

Rain was definitely and under achiever yesterday.

Only about .71”

CTP always seems to miss them forecasts.

River was forecasted to crest at over 12 feet. Now forecast to crest under 8 foot.

Still fishing on the river smallies are biting.

Ready for some winter ❄️ weather.

We ended up with total rain of 2.53" here in East Nantmeal. The 2.41" that fell yesterday broke the old record for the date of 1.50" set back in 1930. Some other area amounts include Atglen 2.19" / West Bradford Twp. 2.52" / Chester Springs 2.50" / Kennett Square 2.60" / Devault 2.17" / Warwick Twp. 3.21" / West Chester 2.16". Another dreary day today before sun returns tomorrow.image.png.6758be82bd533fbdcc868ff73860eb9b.png

A lot less rain than expected here, too; just a hair over .5” in the rain gauge this morning. Not too terribly unusual for my neighborhood, we almost always get less precip than forecast and less than surrounding areas, but I thought we were looking at a minimum of .75 this time.
