Blizzard - 9" of dry, powdery snow with temps in the 20s along with 50 mph winds. We had drifts over 6' in our driveway. This was during the morning hours on April 6th, mind you. Edit: it was a bona-fide blizzard.

WmsptWx
Stay safe.Biggest risk I possess there is wandering out to recover my son's blown away play house (therefore verifying @canderson's worst life fears) and stepping in a pile of dog shit, but I appreciate the concern. Mount Joy Snowman
Looks like winter finally arrived in Minnesota, as International Falls picked up the national low at -22. High was 89 in De Soto City, FL. The highest wind gusts reported on CTP's PNS were both in Centre County -- 60 from a NWS employee near Boalsburg and 59 on the Beaver Stadium WxSTEM.

ChescoWx
Today we end the winter months of December, January and February. While this year has been very warm it is actually almost a degree cooler than last winter. The warmest winter ever was way back in 1931/32 with an average temp of 39.51 degrees. Of note in our current warm cycle we have recorded 7 of the top 10 warmest DJF periods all just since the year 2000!!!

At MDT this winter's average temp is in a virtual tie with last year though some quick math says it is .07 lower not counting today so may drop to 38.1 and 5th place as of tomorrow AM. Right now, it is virtually tied for the 3rd warmest winter ever with last year and 97-98. 1
Bubbler86
Here are the numbers for our other major recording spot, Williamsport. Locked in as the #2 warmest winter in record keeping history at .8 above last year with one day to go. Also of interest, the second graphic is an Altoona station that has records back to the 40's with this winter being the warmest ever or tied for it depending on any movement today. 2

Fill the coffers in case it gets dry again (for wells, grass needs rain every few days in summer regardless.)
