mitchnick
Not a huge fan of the Srefs unless they're decent (lol), but a weenie has to do what a weenie has to do. Old run on top and new run hot off the presses below. 2 1

Ruin
So looking at my forecast instead of highs in the 20s showing for this week its showing 30-35 no where near the 23-26 it was showing yesterday. Ive been busy all day so not sure what changed. Also now shows 50s for next sunday? I was really hoping for 10-20 below normal but now it looks to be normal. CTP has me at 27 for a high on Wednesday and Saturday. Doesn't go out to next Sunday. Agree that temps came up some but it will be cold.

Looking at the national weather service below average temperature. it still says the same thing much below normal, but the forecast foe me inst translating to that. pasnownut
looks like Sunday funday started off with that tick N that see oh so often, and if that look holds, we have a fun little event coming...especially us snow starved SE'rs. Still liking that Fri/Sat deal as well. Snow on snow....heck yeah. Happy day all. Enjoy
mitchnick
Ukie has done the best imho as it held on to the idea of a storm for days. Ukie lighter with the precip, but every storm has gotten wetter in the end, so we'll see. 6z Icon looks very similar to 0z. Both of them have a similar idea with snowfall, Icon is better.

Blizzard of 93
CTP has a strongly worded statement on today’s snow squalls… Special Weather Statement Special Weather Statement National Weather Service State College PA 636 AM EST Sun Jan 14 2024 PAZ004>006-010>012-017>019-024>028-033>037-041-042-045-046- 049>053-056>059-063>066-141515- Warren-McKean-Potter-Elk-Cameron-Northern Clinton-Clearfield- Northern Centre-Southern Centre-Cambria-Blair-Huntingdon-Mifflin- Juniata-Somerset-Bedford-Fulton-Franklin-Tioga-Northern Lycoming- Sullivan-Southern Clinton-Southern Lycoming-Union-Snyder-Montour- Northumberland-Columbia-Perry-Dauphin-Schuylkill-Lebanon- Cumberland-Adams-York-Lancaster- 636 AM EST Sun Jan 14 2024 ...DANGEROUS SNOW SQUALLS TO IMPACT THE REGION THIS MORNING INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS... One or more bands of snow squalls will be moving east at 50 to 55 mph across Central Pennsylvania and the Susquehanna Valley, along the leading edge of an arctic airmass. Near whiteout conditions and a quick one half inch of snow in just 10 to 15 minutes will lead to dangerous travel conditions as a result of the very poor visibility and snow or ice covered roads. Winds will gust up to 50 mph in the squalls. If possible, delay any travel until the mid to late afternoon hours. If you are traveling, your recognition of these squalls and the actions you take to get off the road or help to gradually slow traffic could prevent a high speed, multi-vehicle accident and save your life and the lives of others. If you see terrain features and objects off in the distance being obscured by heavy snow within the dangerous snow squalls, take quick action to pull off the road to a safe location, such as a parking lot or driveway to wait out the squall. If you are on an interstate, it`s best to get off the road at the nearest exit as soon as you notice the squall to ensure the safety of you and your passengers. If there isn`t an opportunity to safely exit the Interstate, slow down gradually, well before entering the squall and turn on your flashing hazard lights. Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 26 here. Everyone be careful with the squalls out there today. My wife actually has to drive to MDT this afternoon to pick up her brother but it looks like everything should be through by then. Fun week of cold and snow ahead.
