So this site did it to me again. That is 0Z but it is on the 12Z Map page. Damn it, not using them anymore. They are ahead on releasing sometimes, but I have to check each map now. Sorry. Santa Clause
Lock it up lsv boys, have a feeling this is in a good spot for you to get high end advisory/low end warning event. Let it stay south until 12z Sunday so it has wiggle room to correct north.

We did have it last year around Christmas and now everyone talks about that time as if it was the worst in the history of the world. Ha.

If we get a prolonged stretch with legit cold air, there will be problems.

I lost one the year before and it wasn't even that cold in 21/22. Crummy late 70's houses.

Bubbler86
My interpretation, subject to be totally wrong, where we had a piece of energy working to phase/pull back the first piece before, it is now buried in the gulf and the first vort is free to go....as I said a week ago I also worry about this scenario in not setting up a 50/50 low for us. If the EC lets that first vort fully escape and go too far East, it sets up a faster relax period in mid to late Jan.
Festus
Euro 1"ish for LSV. So all combined model output is pretty much the typical 1" - 12" forecast 4 days out. Standard.
mitchnick
Let's see what the Euro has for the 20th. Probably a blizzard only to pull it back to a dusting-1" 3 or 4 runs later. Nah, it never does that kind of cr@p.

Indeed, Euro was basically nothing near us at 0z to now up to 2 inches in parts of the LSV. Good baby step towards other guidance.

Lots of upside potential with this one due to the pattern. Euro agrees with GFS & Canadian on this threat. Snow on snow chance next week. Snow map is just for the late week 20th storm. Festus
Pretty remarkable that 49 out of 50 states has a NWS product(s) issued (yes, AK and HI have something). Guess Arizona is the place to be.

Blizzard of 93
The 12z EPS definitely ticked back west & now gets “blue” back into parts of Lancaster. The 6z run barely had blue on the coast of NJ.

That map is one of the best presentations of snow for the LSV right now. Maybe only eclipsed by the CMC. Euro, Icon, GFS lower.
