Heisy
This probably won’t even end up anything like what we’re seeing currently….lots to resolve yet…and modeling of late has been pretty volatile. Who knows what this morphs into by mid next week? Yea sure, I was just curious in general about any analogs for this type of system .

It was beautiful and comforting. Hope we get something to fit in this year too, but even if we don’t, signs look good heading into the new year. Great pictures that capture the moment...Thanks for sharing them.

Stop thinking that we're going to get that white Christmas snow covered ground for the holiday. If it happens then great. For me. The end goal is that we really do change to a winter pattern as we head to January and then I can last for a few months. I guarantee you that if it does happen that way that all of this will be forgotten. Too many people put too much stock into December being a snowy month and it's just not climatologically that way ( at least not southern Eastern New England on South ). I average 12 inches in December in SNE. Why give up its climo to get snow 15th on.

Torch Tiger
what a winter! This Weekend Southern New England should experience a rather pleasant weekend by December standards as high pressure builds over the region with a mild air mass. 925 hPa temps around 0 Celsius will support above normal temperatures in the mid to upper 40s for most of the region both Saturday and Sunday afternoon with some low 50s possible across the southeastern areas. Dry with sunny skies on Saturday thanks to northwest flow, but as winds shift southeast on Sunday we will experience increasing cloud cover during the afternoon. Something tells me one of those 3 scenarios ends up more dominant while the other two end up just being vestigially there - like what verifies looks like it almost did either. Not all 3. Of the 3, I put the Euro STS at lower likeliness - could be wrong, sure. I suggest the WCB rain ball with some wind ( perhaps more so than this last thing) is highest probability. Flip a coin on the follow -up thing. But, I will add .... "IF" somehow the N/stream gets more powerful and digs to Hades that will wave interfere with the Miller A and we might start seeing something new evolve altogether. This is happening < D5 on guidance. The Euro's last 3 solutions demonstrating usually poor continuity.
Typhoon Tip
Fwiw, the Euro's like 1.5 days of grits and zr in between periods of light snow between at 120 and 156 hours.
