TampaMan
I’ll take 1”. Glad this storm will be mainly during daylight so I can watch it fall adequately.
Rvateach
What sort of impact does Sunday have on later in the week? Like, what should I be rooting for if I want a “decent” midlo snow later in the week…

Like, what should I be rooting for if I want a “decent” midlo snow later in the week… Sunday is not expected to have much impact; however, if enough snow accumulates in areas given this arctic air is moving in, there could be possible delays or cancellations on Tuesday. Most places will be closed on Monday. Meanwhile, the 18z Euro AI suggests a slightly more northern track for the mid-week storm. This is a favorable trend to root for as we get closer to the event. It has 0.20" of QPF for Richmond and between 0.30 and 0.40" for Hampton Roads. With air temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 degrees, this could lead to decent minor event and is worth monitoring. 5

But, could be a trend back in the right direction. Looks to me for the Richmond metro area, looking at this run only, the best time for accumulating snows is between 3pm and 7pm. We will be fighting boundary layer issues and surface temps above freezing up until ~3pm. Taking this run verbatim.

Seems qpf quite a bit higher this run vs 18z.

Conway7305
CMC may be on to something, lol. Seriously though, 18z euro shifted N, 0z CMC shifted N and I can see a slight shift N on the GFS run from 18z for Storm #2. 1

Stormpc
EURO still scraping the coast and gone. It'd be nice to see some movement inland there. Otherwise I'm not buying anything. Great potential though. Like nothing I've seen in the 7 years I've been down here. There's an actual chance of a bonafide snow storm through Dixie and into the carolinas. Hopefully the EURO starts creeping back Northwest. 1

Hopefully Euro follows suit. It doesn't take much for the euro to move to get me but a little bit of work to do to get up to the central and Western parts of our area. Plenty of time. 1 1

Got a lot going on today so can't be attentive to the runs, but I'll try to check things when I can from my phone.
JFLETCHER
I don't know about you guys, but I will sacrifice storm #1 for storm #2. Storm #2 has way more potential. Hopefully all of us in North-Central/Central/Southern VA can cash in on #2. Hope the trends continue. 3
