RVAman
Getting very skeptical. Not being a downer but here in Richmond we will be lucky for 6 hours of snow. It really needs to get going.

Conway7305
Yep, if that dry slot doesn’t fill in we are bearly getting 1/2 inch.

The issue is that this is a fast moving system. We need every bit of precip we can get. The longer the Virga the lower the totals. I’m now leaning on 1-2 for Richmond max. RVAman
Latest Graf is not good for Richmond. MAYBE 1.5.
Conway7305
We should get about 5-6 hours of snow. My hope is we get 1 inch every two hours. That would over perform imo. All should be over by 3am according to HRRR.

SoCoWx
Just started snowing in the Fan neighborhood of Richmond. Light snow, but a lot of it. Let’s see what happens before we cry storm canceled.
RVAman
No one is crying storm cancelled, let’s get that straight. Totals will arguably be less that forecasted. We have now maybe a 5 hour window of snow. Are you watching?

At the end of the day, it’s just weather, and it either will snow to amount to a hill of beans, or it won’t. You seem to take people being optimistic about snow in this city very personally, IMO. I live 15 mins away from the city. I root for all of us. If a reaction is juvenile and unsettling for you on a forum maybe it’s not the place for you lol. Me pointing out the system is moving fast and Virga is lasting longer than predicted isn’t me being negative, it’s a factual statement. So let’s go back to storm casting. I believe us here in Richmond will get 1-2 based on the latest short range Oh, yes. I’m totally reading too much into you going out of your way to hand select a reaction labeled “crap” on a comment that challenges the narrative you’re pushing. I come here because I typically enjoy the discussions about the various model runs, and from the last storm to this one, the energy you give off in your responses is often rather jaded and negative, and you do seem to exhibit a pattern of clogging up the thread with it from time to time. It’s dumping snow here in the Fan now, btw. I can barely see the lot across the street.

This is a fast moving system and will end by 3 am. I simply pointed out we need max precip without virga between now and then. I hope you bode well tonight. No hard feelings. I am in the fan right now and that’s not what I’m seeing here at three monkeys . I’m seeing a moderate snowfall.

There is a reason why there are smaller regional threads in the forum. That's all I will say, but won't discourage others from double tapping if they choose to.
