If we can avoid dry slotting for too long, and it does this until the early morning hours, I could see us getting at least a few inches by then.

True-I talked about this yesterday. I felt like we would get a couple inches on the front end and then at least an inch or two on the back end -and my call was 3 to 5 -I think that's a little low for some areas now. Many of the models were very consistent with that front end thump.

Wow!!! What a difference it is already from Powhatan Va to just before 288 Capital one rd. Or was a white out with heavy snow in Powhatan .. main rds there already starting to get covered.. I’d say close to a half inch in spots..

once I got past Capital one 288 clear sailing just light wet snow from there to Short Pump so far

@Conway730518z Euro for this weekend.

Only goes out to hour 144, so the storm is still going here, not final snow amounts. But, still encouraging to see this threat.

I’d rather see a southern slider than have it come up the coast. We’d stay in the cold air rather than risk warm air getting infiltrated into the storm.

Agreed, that's what we typically see. A coastal bomb, if it phases far enough south, could still deliver, but more rare.
