Lol I'm getting old in that I can't automatically remember. I do remember getting stuck at my parents house after checking up on them in 2018, and I had a Jeep. I do believe both storms were 10"+

I was also one of the few that made our really well in the Boxing Day Storm, that was also 10-12"+

Those were huge events from ORF and up the Delmarva. I think ORF got 14-15" from the 12/26/2010 storm.

Is this where I mention that my day job is a GIS Analyst?

That was my study in college, but somehow got into logistics and supply chain. Then got a MBA because I still had no idea what I wanted to do.

My undergrad was in Geography & Atmospheric Sciences. I didn't want to do broadcast or go to grad school so that cut down on my options. Decided to get a GIS certificate instead and here we are!

Looks like a solid hit for Hampton Roads.

UKMET is losing most of the northern component to the low - it's a weaker and further south storm for sure. Surface low in the Gulf of Mexico at 96. It'll be a moderate hit for Richmond and Hampton Roads though.

It does come up the coast after that, but doesn't really get going enough until it is well offshore. Definitely in line with trends we have been seeing tonight.

Definitely great storms. I had no one to share it with because everyone on here was in mourning because it "missed everyone " meanwhile I was under a blizzard warning

I know it still looks good for everyone in this thread, but these trends are alarming. We've now seen it on all guidance so far. Another shift like this and it's in the Southeast forum lol

Id rather it be southeast right now then us NEEDING it to come south east, there is always usually a northward slide the day or 2 before so hopefully that will recorrect us back to a bigger amount.  Purely just living in Va experience no knowledge obviously of storms.
