Here are a couple local TV reports from the March 1980 blizzard. Look at the wind and snow drifts in the first video! @EverythingisEverything@ldub23

Also, this was back when the area was commonly called just Tidewater. I'm not sure how and even why it changed to Hampton Roads. When you leave Virginia and say it, no one even knows what it is

I vividly remember. Just a bright eyed kid looking out the window while it was whipping and blowing snow wishing my parents would let me go out, had to wait until it stopped lol. Still have pictures, we were staying in Willoughby military housing in norfolk.

Both GFS and Euro have different variations and evolutions of what's going to happen next week on each run. No clue yet. There's going to be something big. From Richmond North is almost a certainty. 6z GFS looks impossible.

Euro AI is still offshore.

^Haha. Of course, we know that's not a forecast but rather what comes from one output of a model run. But I would love a region-wide KU, including North Carolina and MD.

Yup, WE know that, but unfortunately a lot of people don't and take it as gospel.

It really is. Not because it's not showing what we want but because it's a jumpy pos that overdoes totals, makes wild swings ect. It use to be a good model imo.

I mainly talking on how bad it performed on Wed storm.
