Yup, I don't usually look at them. Just posting to renew some hope for those feeling down.

Love it. I mean really, NAM was on an island of its own. I bet we see 6-10 RIC, 10-14” Tidewater and eastern shore, 1-3/2-4 up to DC. That precip shield def going to expand.

To be fair though something is seriously wrong with the official measurements

I live 2 miles from RIC, Dec 2018 I measured 16”….

Jan 2016 I measured 18”

Always been a sour subject since the Blizzard of 1996. Sometimes I think they do fine, but storms like 1/23/2016, 1/30/2010, 3/1/2009, and 1/25/2000 are notorious misses. Even 1/6/1996 finally got revised after 20 years in the wake of the 2016 storm that prompted a formal review by NWS Wakefield.

Even this season, they've had to revise the snowfall total in the CLI for the first two snow events. No other station, certainly not Norfolk, seem to have these issues.

If anyone on here was rooting for NAM to stay as far north as it was at 12z -that would be a big L (loss) with mixing and a storm like ended up the other day. This will not be that.

A foot between RIC, West Point and Tappahannock.

DC crew gonna be cliff jumping after they see the 0z nam however nooone should even be looking at the Nam this early.  So f them they get what they get for even boosting about the 18z nam 84 hours out lmao

They were hoping for a 1$ scratch off to pay $50,000. Lol- and yes 1000% correct. NAM at least is in the ballpark now but not in range til Tue am.
