RVAman Posted yesterday at 04:38 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:38 PM I don’t think anywhere around here has gotten over a dusting. Just my opinion. Even grassy areas around here are barely getting stuck to. It’s too warm. We ain’t getting more than 3 inches.

jlewis1111 Posted yesterday at 04:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:40 PM To have closed schools and issue a winter storm warning is just completely ridicolous. NWS needs to be fired

RIC Airport Posted yesterday at 04:41 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 04:41 PM https://x.com/iembot_akq The AKQ bot is putting out totals as we speak, many so far are in the 1-1.5" ranges. I did see a 2" report around Burkeville. It's also important to look at the times when the measurements were made.

wasnow215 Posted yesterday at 04:45 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:45 PM @RIC Airport I consider you the unofficial leader of this thread ha ha. I'm not gonna respond anymore to this garbage but somebody need some mods on here I think for some of this immature behavior
JB Fins Posted yesterday at 04:48 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:48 PM Wow, our little thread is melting down? Come on guys, it's snow. Yeah, looks like a bust, again. Yeah, they close the schools nowadays when somebody spills a slushie. Shoot, we have been in the winter desert for years, we actually have some events, be it small, but events nonetheless. I think RIC Airport is traveling to NY so limited access. I guess I could ask Mappy to come in here and drop the hammer.

wasnow215 Posted yesterday at 04:50 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:50 PM I'm good @JB Fins. It's disappointing the level of immaturity though and now I move on. If nothing else this caused me to learn how to save to the cloud and then copy and paste lol.

Sernest14 Posted yesterday at 05:10 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:10 PM ~1.5” at the moment in Ashland. Looks like a solid band set up out west that should drive some rates up. Roads still just wet but driveway has some covered spots

Yes, I'm up here until Thursday and waiting for the 1-3" to start around 8 p.m. I can browse, but I only occasionally post for the rest of the afternoon. I don't claim to be a moderator and don't think we need one, but I always try to exercise my interpersonal tact when I post.

CentralVaGirl Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Well at least I got to enjoy a few hours of snow TV. Been a while since I got to watch snow fall. Turning to sleet here in Tuckahoe, Patterson and Gaskins. It is starting to cover walks and roads.

Yeah it's frustrating. Always were on the fence but looks like you're going to be 20 mi too far south for this one. Maybe the next big burst will cool the column enough to flip you back in the next 90 minutes. Whatever happens between now and four p.m. is the time. After that the column warms all the way. You might be looking at plain old rain by 6:00 p.m. sucks.
