They closed the schools  here for  wet roads. What a  joke. Im sure nearer RIC there  is  ice  on roads. None  here at all

We (Currituck) have a 2 hour delay because of rain.  At least it snowed a bit by you. Maybe you luck into an inch tonight so that tomorrow's commute is a mess. That's more impactful than this AM. You're going to get yours saturday.

They closed for rain here as well. Tonight might  be worse  because temps will drop after any snow that falls. Sat will be a slopfest at  best.

Yep, it’s why that break & the temperature getting over freezing for a few hours is going to be huge for avoiding any major ice damage…  We will see how fast the cold air works in & re freezes everything…

Hopefully we can hit another good band right before the storm pulls away… After 5 to 6pm

How much is it expected with the batch coming in tonight? Anybody know?

Here are the latest totals for the wrap-around deformation band from the HRRR model.  Richmond metro looking at 2ish.

Thoughts on this weekend's storm. Trying to decide to book a flight on sat to see the skins play down in Tampa hmmmm

After the year they’ve had? Do it. Snow comes and goes but the skins doing this well is abnormal. Do it!

NBC12 is saying snow from 5 pm to 11pm. Depending on rates we could be looking at another layer of 2-4 inches. This would be insane due to the ground already being frozen. It’s dark out and it’s 11 am. Roads are freezing over already. Went on a walk with my son and the roads noticeably are getting icy again.

Local stations are already calling for snow on Saturday. This could be the good one. Coastal snow is always the best here.

Yeah it wasn't as good for us as last night but the Canadian is good and there is still time

I feel like if they’re putting it on the radar this early we’re in pretty good shape

Agree wholeheartedly -the concern for these types of stores for our region is either they don't develop until they get past us on the coast or it's closer to the coast and we get more mix and rain

12Z GFS has trended warmer than the previous 3 runs, but the moisture is certainly in the right place.  I assume this would be a textbook Miller A evolution?

Latest EPS ensembles have the coastal low much further off the coast than the American solution.  Will be interesting to see if the models begin to converge at all.

Given the arctic blast, I would be surprised to see us not have enough cold air for this event.

Your thoughts make a lot of sense thank you!
